How to survive travel in the Multiverse
Survive!

So, you've just stepped through a portal and find yourself in a completely unfamiliar environment. Don't panic! (Well, not too much, anyway.) With a little bit of know-how, you can survive and even thrive in your new surroundings.

First things first: take a deep breath and assess your surroundings. Are you on a habitable planet? Is the air breathable? Are there any immediately obvious dangers? Make a mental note of any potential hazards and move away from them if possible.

Next, take stock of your supplies. Where's your towel? Do you have food, water, and shelter? If not, start looking for them! But don't go running off into the wilderness without a plan. Make sure you know where you're going and how you're going to get back. And always leave a trail of breadcrumbs, or better yet, a trail of chalk marks, so you can find your way back home. If I find myself in an environment where my phone works I have several navigation apps that don't require a connection to the internet to function. Ultimately you should be keeping a paper map as a backup.

Now, if you're like me, you may be thinking "But what about the strange and terrifying creatures that live in this new universe?" Don't worry, you're not alone. The first rule of surviving in an unfamiliar environment is to avoid confrontation with unknown creatures. If you must interact with them, do so with caution and a healthy dose of skepticism. And, of course, always carry a good book, a crossword puzzle or a deck of cards, because you never know when you will find yourself in a long wait.

And finally, remember that you're not alone in this new universe. There are likely other travelers like yourself, or even native inhabitants who may be able to help you. Don't be afraid to reach out and make connections. Who knows, you may even make some new friends or enemies, or best of all, frenemies! It's up to you!

So, in short, stay calm, assess your surroundings, plan ahead, and don't be afraid to make friends. And most importantly, have fun! After all, you're on the adventure of a lifetime!
